# FacultyHack@Gateways 2026 — Deliverables

Participants who complete the following seven deliverables receive a
**$500 honorarium**. See the Schedule page
(<https://hackhpc.github.io/facultyhack-gateways26/schedule/>) for
session dates and the training that supports each one.

## 1. Conference Registration

Register for the in-person Gateways 2026 conference (September 23–25 in
Washington, D.C.) using this link:
<https://sciencegateways.org/gateways2026>.

Apply for travel support using this application
(<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf6ka-yH_bZmHyUoLwR_jsMlKZCsjh2jkmxwOkrIp9Nm8tkuw/viewform>),
and indicate that you are presenting a poster.

## 2. Bio & Headshot

*Include in GitHub Repo*

Provide a short professional biography (or CV link) and a high-quality
headshot for your project page.

## 3. Gateways 2026 Poster

*Max size: 30" wide × 45" high — Include in GitHub Repo*

- **The Abstract:** Submit a max 500-word abstract (no references)
  describing your project and its impact directly to the conference
  portal.
- **The Physical Poster:** Print and bring your poster to the conference
  to display your work during the reception. Use the provided poster
  template to get started

## 4. SGX3 Blog Post

*Due October 9, 2026*

Write a short reflection piece for the SGX3 website covering your
curriculum project, your hands-on experience with HPC tools, and your
takeaways from attending the conference.

## 5. Resource List & Tech Notes

*Include in GitHub Repo*

**Gateways Catalog Requirement:** Pick at least three (3) tools from
Gateways Central and write a short sentence on how you will use each in
your classroom.

## 6. Project GitHub Repository

Upload all your final materials to a public GitHub repository you
create for the hackathon. Submit your repository URL to Je'aime Powell:
jeaime@omnibond.com. Your GitHub repo must include:

- README.md (filled out using the provided template:
  <https://hackhpc.github.io/facultyhack-gateways26/assets/templates/facultyhack-readme-template.md>)
- Original Syllabus (PDF)
- Revised Syllabus (PDF — highlighting your new Gateways/HPC/AI
  integrations)
- Gateways Poster (PDF, from the provided poster template:
  <https://hackhpc.github.io/facultyhack-gateways26/assets/files/schedule/mon-august-3/FacultyHack_Gateways26_Poster_Template.pptx>)
- Blog Post Draft (Markdown or PDF)

## 7. NAIRR Education Account

Create your account on the NAIRR Pilot Portal
(<https://nairrpilot.org>), the National Artificial Intelligence
Research Resource used in the Day 2 NAIRR training. If your curriculum
project needs classroom compute access for students, review the
Educational Resources opportunity as well
